The old advice to an injured employee of ‘Stay home until you are completely recovered’ is no longer best practice. In many instances there are benefits for the injured person’s recovery as well as their mental health if they can stay engaged with their work. There are also benefits for the employer in having an employee back at work, even if it is for reduced hours or doing alternative duties.

Adam Jennings, Head of  Business partnerships at ACC will explain the new thinking in this area and how Recovery at Work can be beneficial for all parties.
